Mad Men

Anyone a fan? I tried watching this a while back, since I heard it was basically the only other drama on the level of BB, and the only other made by AMC, and to be honest, I just found it really boring, the only episode I really enjoyed was towards the end of the season ,

. I bought the seasons 1+2 boxset but I still haven't made it through the second season.

It is certainly apples and oranges when comparing Mad Men and Breaking Bad. There are some excellent episodes (end of season 2 for example) but I will admit it probably will move to slowly for the majority of people, certainly not everyone's cup of tea.

For me though, it is great. I am invested in the characters, and just love looking at the costumes and the sets, not to mention the small historical touches. I love how they approach historical events, mores, and norms as well, realistically the characters do not know the significance of events as they are unfolding, like how we will not know how to judge our times until 40+_years from now.

I think it is just as good as Breaking Bad, but in a different way. Breaking Bad is more fast paced and Mad Men is more about the production and the writing.

I wose told the second season was worse, suppose i better get watching then.
