Anyone a fan? I tried watching this a while back, since I heard it was basically the only other drama on the level of BB, and the only other made by AMC, and to be honest, I just found it really boring, the only episode I really enjoyed was towards the end of the season ,Spoiler: were we find out about Don's backstory in the Army.. I bought the seasons 1+2 boxset but I still haven't made it through the second season.

Described as an eager student and a brilliant chemist, Gale is the antithesis of Jessie (Aaron Paul) in that he’s more interested in the magic of chemistry than getting rich.

This could get REAL interesting.

Last night's Emmy winner Bryan Cranston just told us a huge secret about the new season of the AMC cult fave. "The thing that my character was always worried about was having my wife find out what I'm doing. This season, she finds out. I still don't know how she's taking it, but she's freaked out. My thought was if she ever finds out, it's over." ...

Breaking Bad nominated for five awards, I would have liked to see more, particularly for writing, directing, and Anna Gunn, but you can't have everything. Note AMCs other series Mad Men nominated for 16, bringing the total to 21 for probably the smallest network represented. Quality over quantity. Even though the Academy still sticks with their favorites (Grey's Anatomy with 2 supporting actresses? Please)

Spoiler:Actor Bryan Cranston shares his diet and fashion secrets in the first of AMC's two-part interview.

A: I enjoy doing comedy for the fact that you go to work and you laugh. That's a good combination. I did that for seven years, and after a while ...

A Look Ahead

The very small amount we know so far:

Breaking Bad was renewed for a third season in April '09.

The body bags/glasses story is over, they were just things from the plane.

Bryan Cranston will be directing the first episode.

Vince Gilligan says 'I've got a feeling we'll see more of Ted in Season 3' and that he believes Gus already knew about Walt's DEA brother in law.

[E]

The season stars one week after the plane crash.

So, what's in store for us next year?

Thinking about it more, I'm gonna say the flash-forwards haven't worked except in episode 1 and in the episode where Walt blows up Tuco's office.

But aside from the explosion, all the series flash-forwards have been a bait and switch:

Walt and the sirens

Tuco's grill

Pink bear

For the pilot it was understandable - it set up a very tense situation that turned out to be Walt's paranoid assumption.

But with Tuco's grill & the pink bear - both seemed an unnecessary way ...

I never got a chance to watch the original but the remake looks interesting, especially being made by AMC. AMC teaming up with ITV is good news, hopefully it means we might be seeing BB there soon.
